The Spellborn website has been updated with a breakdown of the statistics in the game. While not completely disorientating, the summary can be a little confusing at times, so Kintak has writen a nice little breakdown of the breakdown.
| QUOTE | 3 Attributes: Body, Mind, and Focus
3 Generic Class Archetypes The archetypes get a boost in their archetype specific attribute:
Warrior - Body
Caster - Mind
Rogue - Focus
3 Specialized Classes Per Archetype Specialized classes each get their own secondary attribute. The secondary attribute gets a higher bonus than the archetype attribute:
Blood Warrior - body + body
Furyhammer - body + focus
Champion - body + mind
Rune Mage - mind + body
Ancestral Mage - mind + mind
Oracle Disciple - mind + focus
Trickster - focus + body
Facedancer - focus + focus
Dead Hand - focus + mind
Resistances
There are 2 types of resistances: Attack resistance, and magic affinity. Attack resistance is split up into melee, magic, and ranged. Magic affinity is split into rune, spirit, and soul. Magic affinity is effected by the character's attributes:
Rune - Body
Spirit - Mind
Soul - Focus
"States"
The three states are physique, morale, and concentration. The states give buffs or debuffs depending on their current status. The status ranges from -5 to +5, and it will always return to 0.
Physique - effects movement speed. Improved by Body
Spirit - effects attack damage. Improved by Mind
Concentration - effects attack speed. Improved by Focus.
Negative states return to 0 more quickly than positive states. The more you have of the attribute of a state, the more time it takes to return to 0 from a positive state, and the less time it takes to return from a negative state.
Example of state in action: -5 to physique = -50% movement speed
Players can be given a temporary bonus to their states by potions and skills.
Skills
Each skill has a governing attribute. The better the attribute, the better the skill.
Development
Players recieve bonus attribute points for investment every 3 levels.
Players can also boost attributes temporarily with potions and skills.
"Tokens" can be used to boost attributes permanently
PeP System
Personal experience point system. Player can gain ranks in PeP by earning experience in battle. Player returns to rank 0 by dying.
Rank 0 - No bonus
Rank 1 - state bar zero point +1
Rank 2 - Minor body, mind, focus buff + state bar zero point +1 Rank 3 - Minor body, mind, focus buff + state bar zero point +2
Rank 4 - Moderate body, mind, focus buff + state bar zero point +2
Rank 5 - Moderate body, mind, focus buff + state bar zero point +3
Hitpoints and Regeneration
Players gain hitpoints every level. Potions and skills can boost hitpoints temporarily. Attributes have no effect on hitpoints.
Outside of battle, the player regenerates hitpoints.
While seated with weapon sheathed, player regenerates hitpoints quickly, but is at risk because he/she recieves 200% damage.
